I have just started a new business working from home but would prefer to be working with other creatives...

Prefer city/fitzroy/collingwood/brunswick etc

i will not be bringing in clients, so it does not need to be slick/fancy

only real requirement i need fast internet

The choice I gave was to print on Envi, the 100% australian made carbon neutral recycled paper stock.

please do not use this paper... if you read the fine print only the manufacture of the paper is carbon neutral.

There is no carbon accounting of where the pulp came from.... Which came from Tasmanian forests. This is just greenwashing the ...

We are building a multiple section website using drupal. For each section we plan to have a custom animated header created in flash. The flash banner will also include an animated flash navigation. The navigation will be imported from drupal via xml. This will allow us to update the navigation using the default drupal system.

We will use css to hide the html navigation, allowing the site to be indexed by search engines.


If a user does not have flash ...

When you do tac invoices (not needed on quotes) you just have to include TAX INVOICE on it somewhere (make it designy ;) ) and quote your ABN and all should be good, keep a record of all your quotes and invoices given and then when it comes time for the tax man to take it all away from you whack him with your receipts for design books, software, computers, uni fees etc. as they are all tax deductable now your a business! ...

I have been working for myself fulltime now for 6 months having not done so before. At the moment I issue a quotation, clients verbally or by email agrees to it, I do the work and the client pays. This has been working fine so far but there are a few issues I haven't addressed yet and it is time I did...

I am sure there are a bunch, but I know (Squiz) regularly does sites of this scale / spec. But they will sting you for it.

if you can track down a book called "The Enjoyment and Use of Color"

first edition 1923...

some heavy reading... but would make a very strong companion to a contemporary resource..they dont write books like they did back then

I also had a photoshop book fom teh library that was about 2 thirds heavy colour theory...cannot rember te ...
